Easter

Christ the Lord is risen today!
Easter seemed like whirl wind.  With the move and all it was here in a flash.  The kids at school made a daily lenten pick of a fast, pray or give.  They picked a tag from one of these categories each day.  This was instead of doing 1 thing all lent. It was daily but different each day.  It had things like fast from electronics, sweets and music for a day and say a prayer for your parents, siblings and give your time to something/someone or give things away you don't need.  I really liked it and I did this with the kids too.  And the great thing... we had 2 of them so we saved one for next year too!

Easter morning was filled easter basket finding.  Lots of new places to look in the new house.  Ella found hers first, then Josie and then Eli.  But, Josie had found both Eli's and Ella's baskets before they did and before hers. :)

And then onto Easter mass!
Then we had an Easter dinner at home and a low key day which was nice.  We have been so busy lately so it was nice to just relax and enjoy the day together.

The move

So we did a thing.  We moved!  This was not something that was completely on our radar but had interest in finding a house that better suited our family.  Don't get me wrong...we had a lot going on in our old house that we liked so this was going to take the right house to make us move.  I was not going to settle and my requirements were very specific, but somehow we found the right one.

We had put an offer on the house in January and they wanted 90 days to close, which we could be flexible on, so January-April was a whole bunch of time to get our house ready to sell and pack.  Although it did seem to take forever, I am glad we had that time to do all the things.

The kids were pretty helpful during this process.  They had to go with out most of their toys for a while because I decluttered and then showing the house, had to keep it clean.  They did good!

Ella helping pack..err packing herself.

We ended up selling our house with out any hiccups, which was incredibly lucky.
Us saying good bye to our first home together.
Eli's last picture in his first bedroom!
The girls saying good bye to their first room and starting new in their OWN rooms.  No more room sharing for these girls.  Josie could not wait to have her own room.  I was extremely nervous how this transition would go.  Josie's new room is in the basement of our new house so I figured it would be rough for her. Much to my surprise she has been absolutely fine on her own.  Ella...had a few rough nights and tears.  I think struggled being by herself.  However, she is doing great now and it was rough for just a blink.
And here is the new house!
It is a ranch and so far we love it.  It is just across town... no big move yet.
Were almost all settled in, of course, a few more boxes here and there and a few more things to hang up.
We moved in April 2nd and had some amazing friends help us with the move!  It took about 5ish hours to get us moved.  It really shows how lucky we are when we have such amazing people who show up to help.  Thank you to everyone who helped us move.  It is VERY VERY appreciated!!

The camper at its new home!
A little about the new house.  It's a ranch 4 bedrooms, 3 on main level and 1 in the basement (josie's).  It has a fireplace, hardwoods throughout, covered  back deck  AND.....

A POOL!!!
We are looking forward to enjoying this during the summer!  We were not looking for a pool but this house had it and the house was exactly what we wanted.  I am so glad my kids have been on swim team.
I see pool parties in our future! :)
