Our Easter celebration was PERFECT! I am reflecting on the day and just how amazing and blessed we are. Here is how we celebrated Easter this year. First we dyed eggs, it was our rainy day project. The enjoyed doing that and were not careful at all :)
So proud of the decorated eggs
At daycare they had an Easter egg hunt. It had to be inside because it was raining. Here they are finding the eggs, which took some prompting. They didn't really know what to do, but got the hang of very quick.
"look at my eggs, Mommy"-Josie
Ella getting an egg. Shortly after this she realized there was candy inside those eggs. That was it, she was done finding eggs and just tried to eat candy!
The Easter bunny even made an appearance. The girls did not like him and would NOT go near him, so no pictures of them with the bunny.
Easter morning, the girls noticed their baskets sitting on the floor from the landing at the top of the stairs. I heard a lot of "What's that mommy?" and "Look, mommy!!" Ella was the first one down the steps and to the baskets. She didn't quite know what to think. She eventually realized that she got a basket all to herself and that there was candy in it. She dug right in to the candy, first.
Ella stuffing her mouth with jelly beans
Josie checking out everything in her basket, which included a bubble gun, water squirter and candy.
Ella still eating candy (I have no idea where she gets this)!
After baskets, we went to church. The reason for the season!
Ella, my peanut, wore the same dress that she did last year.
After church we went out for a family lunch and then to play in the park
Our little monkeys loved playing at the park
I got a nap in (always a good day when I get a nap), and so did the girls. And after we all rested up we took a family walk. The weather was ABSOLUTELY perfect.
From the excitement of the girls, to church, to all the family time and the most gorgeous day, I wouldn't have changed anything.
Hope everybody had as wonderful of a day as we had. Happy Easter!
