1 year old!

I found this photo recently and thought there were no truer words than this to explain the last year.  Everyone says it goes by fast and I really tried hard to study, notice and breathe the girls in. Even the middle of the night feeds that seem so long ago, I tried to enjoy that time with them, knowing it would be short lived. Here we are one full year later, December 17 2013, and cannot believe how much life has changed, how much the girls have changed, how much my love for them has changed and how Joeys and my relationship has changed. All for the better!
Happy birthday girls!  This year has flown by and I cannot begin to tell you how you have lit up our lives!  I look forward to more birthday celebrations with you. So on this 1st birthday we light a candle for you, to celebrate and light up your day.

Hope year two is as amazing as the first, but hopefully with alot more hair growth!

Ella Cabella

It always seems that Josie does everything first, but Ella really never ceases to amaze me.  That tiny, but mighty girl has accomplished so much in just 2 months.  Here are some videos of her, some are just having fun and others are figuring things out.  I just love this little girl so much!  Keep going Miss Ella, mommy and daddy are very proud of you!

St. Nick

St. Nicks day is something we have done when I was a kid. You put your shoes out and St. Nick comes and puts little gifts/coins in your shoes. It was fun when I was a kid and now I'm passing it on.  Obviously with their tiny feet the giant stuffed animals didn't fit into their shoes. :). Happy St. Nicks day girls!!
(Love that Ella's shoes are her braces)

Happy Turkey Day

We had a great thanksgiving this year.  Nothing like home cooked turkey, mashed potatoes and Grandmas noodles.  Sure beats the hospital thanksgiving last year.  This was Joeys first time home to Ohio since March 2012 and with the girls.  We left Tuesday after work and drove the entire way.  We are officially crazy!  The girls didn't do too bad, Ella cried for about an hour and a half on the way there.  We arrived to our destination at 2:15am, unpacked and set up and were thinking about bed, but the girls were ready to play.  We let them move around for little bit and suprisingly did go to bed.

(all packed, but still have some room)

(we hit a patch of bad weather)
Thanksgiving was spent with Joeys side of the family. We all had a good time until the girls ended up having diarrhea and we ran out of clothes to put them in.  Fun.  The joys of twins....diarrhea x2 :)

Friday, we met some friends for lunch and that was fun!  Not enough time with them :(  and we even tried some shopping.  Dad was really nice and took the girls so I could go shopping with them :)  I really miss those times with my friends.  We always had our shennanigans that just seem to continue no matter how long it's been!

Saturday was my family thanksgiving and I saw relatives I hadn't seen in 2 years.  It was nice to see and visit with them.  We did the typical card playing, eating way too much and drinking too much.

Ella had a weird day on Saturday. When I would put her on Gigi's lap she would cry. Out of the people to be afraid of Gigi is not the one. I told Ella she had it all wrong. This was the first time this had ever happened too!

Sunday we were off to Iowa!  We packed up and had WAY more stuff than we came with, including a passenger.  Joeys mom rode back with us.  We had been givin lots of clothes as well as gifts that we needed to fit into our SUV.  We still have stuff at my moms house that couldn't fit.  We will get it later.  I decided that our girls' are spoiled rotten.  They do not need a thing!  The girls' did absolutley great traveling! What a great thanksgiving and we have so much too be thankful for!
