Eli at 2

I just cannot believe that Eli is 2!  That was a VERY fast 2 years.  I know every mom says this, but it didn't seem to go so fast with the girls.  So here we are and Eli official stats
Height: 34 3/4 inches (50-75%)
Weight:  27 1/2 pounds (just below 50%)
Head: 19 1/2 (75%)
He is wearing 18 month clothes, but just about to move up to a 2T.  The waist will be big but the length with be just right.  And he is in a size 4 diaper.  He is pretty good eater, but mostly wants to eat desert and sweets.  We literally have to hide them from him.  He loves to be outside and also loves to do whatever his sisters are doing.  He likes books and Thomas the train (choo-choos) and is 100% boy!

Eli as NB, Eli at 1 and Eli at 2.
A little devil he is too.  He knows EXACTLY how to bother his sisters and pick on them.  Of course, they give him a reaction he is looking for.  He throws major temper tantrums that usually involve screaming and kicking.  He doesn't talk much and gets very frustrated when we he can't communicate what he needs/wants.  In just the recent weeks, has started to say a few more words.
Eli is pretty good cuddler and still likes to be rocked to sleep.  He blows kisses and gives big bear hugs.  He still gets super excited when I come in to pick him up from daycare and comes running over to hug me.
Eli gets into everything, wants to be where the action is and is super busy boy.  We love you Eli Nathaniel but could really do with out your tantrums and screaming.  We hope this year doesn't go just as fast as the last, but we are sure it will.  We look forward to seeing you grow and see your personality bloom.  Can't wait to see what is in store for you.

Saying good bye to Grandma and Grandpa E and dropping them off at the train station.  Eli liked the train behind.  We were lucky to have G and G here to help celebrate.

Party time

Eli turned 2 on the 10th which happened to be a Saturday and Grandma and Grandpa E were here.  We had a small little party for Eli and my moms Cousin who happened to be in Iowa drove 2 hours and came to the party.  It was nice to meet them and my mom enjoyed visiting with them as well.

Eli is totally into trains this year.  He loves watching Thomas the train and the train table at school is where he spends most of his day.  I wanted to do a train theme this year and this is the cake I came up with.  Surprisingly, it turned out really good.  The engine is a Thomas the Train flashlight toy and the rest is cake.

Eli LOVED the "choo-choo"  I'm not sure he realized it was cake. :)

He was pretty embarrassed when we sang happy birthday to him, but he knew exactly what to do with his candle.

I hope he made a wish!

Then he opened presents and it took until about the 3rd present to realize what was going on.  He liked ripping the paper and his sisters LOVED his gifts ;)

He got a tool bench from Grandma and Grandpa and a toolbox

A new boy cup since he is using leftover pink ones from his sisters...

And what 2 yo birthday wouldn't be complete without a John Deere Tractor?  As you can see he was completely spoiled.  He had a great time and slept great that night! Win-Win!!

Showing Grandma his flip-a-zoo animal

And he got this Cars car from mom and dad!  It was inside with all the presents and then he got in and ran over all his other presents.  It was so funny!  After that, it went right outside and as you can see he needs to work on steering it!!!
Happy Birthday Eli!  We love you very much!
