My grandma is cooler than yours

She really is!  At 88 years old my grandma made the trip from Ohio to Iowa in a car, to visit!  She has made a few times now, how cool is that?  She also made it onto our boat for a day of boating.  I can't think of anyone in their 80's that's done that recently.  She shopped till she dropped, with me and we even were trying on (and bought) some of the same clothes!  Now that could mean I dress old, but it's really that she is stylish!  She went to garage sale after garage sale with us, babysat and went to a steak fry!  Seriously, how cool is that??  This is just a few of MANY reasons why my grandma is cooler than yours!

Ready to get in with her float!

It's Birthday Party Time

It's June and that means we have a birthday (from December) to celebrate!  My Mom, Dad and 88yo Grandma were coming from Ohio to help our 2 little girls celebrate.  I was telling the girls the countdown to their birthday party and when the girls woke up from nap, I asked "Know what time it is?" Josie replied "It's birthday party time!"

I always seem to have "jobs" for my grandma when she comes to visit and this time was no different.  She helped me decorate the fish cupcakes.

One fish, two fish....we have 2 little fish to celebrate!  The finished school of fish

When the girls woke up from nap we had all their presents out.  They noticed right away and were very excited to start opening gifts.  Grandma E gave the girls this golf set so they can go golfing with Dad.  They loved it!

Grandma S. even had gifts here for them to open.  The tea set was another big hit!

Joey and I gave them lots of swim and boating toys and floats!

The aftermath of opening presents.

By the looks of this, these two little girls have A LOT of people that love them!  They are very lucky girls!
After opening gifts we went outside to have a little sparkler fun!  It's always a party when there are sparklers!

Of course we had to have cake and ice cream.  Here is Josie blowing out her 2 candles!

And Ella blowing out her candles!  Love that I caught this face!

Ella was only able to blow out 1 of her candles, but no worries, she has a sister that was happy to help her out!
Mommy and Daddy hope you loved your birthday party as much as we love you!  Happy Half Birthday Josie and Ella!

Twedt family

Lyndsey wanted some pictures of her and her boys and it just happened to be around the boys' 1st and 9th birthday.  Jeffrey was ALL giggles it was hard to take pictures because I was laughing so hard at his laughing.  Jordan was definitely into getting his pictures taken and even set up some of the pictures for me!  :)   I also made it to lake Wapello to do this shoot and I had never been there before.  It was neat to see and could see me visiting there again soon.
