Locked with Love

When we went to Germany, on our many sites, we saw many many locks put on bridges.  I asked what that was about and was told about the love lock bridge in France and how you engrave or write your names and date on the lock, lock it to the bridge and throw the keys over so then the two will be locked with love forever.  Well our anniversary was this week and I had thought how that would be something easy to do to celebrate our 8th anniversary, so after dinner we headed over to our local bridge and "locked our love."

Summer Fun

I was thinking about last summer and what this years has to hold.  Last year the girls weren't doing much, I was still nursing and Ella had her casts.  This year is already so different. We are looking forward to more
Swinging

"Big girl" drinks on the deck
Playing on tractors
Sidewalk chalk
And just plain getting dirty
And "picnics"

Easter

Happy Easter!!  What a blessed Easter we have had here in Iowa!  The festivities started Thursday when they had a Easter egg hunt at daycare.  I went down to help/watch the girls find eggs, however they slept thru it.  Yep! They were napping and woke up when there were about 3 minutes left.  So no finding eggs for them, but they still did get some treats.

Josie's bag of candy that says "some bunny loves you"

The easter cups and candy the girls took in for the other kids.  I have been pretty lame with passed holidays for stuff so while I was waiting for Ella's prescription to be filled we picked out Easter treats for the other kids.
Grandma E had bought a lamb costume at a garage sale for $.50 and thought it may work for Halloween, however it would be to small for them.  So Ella wore it to school for Easter and it was such a hit!

Instead of Easter baskets this year (cause the girls don't need anymore candy), Daddy got the girls some John Deere fleece jackets.

We went to Easter church and the girls' wore their Easter dresses that Grandma S got them.  We then came home and had a friend come over and we ate Easter lunch.  Later we went over to a friends house and ate dinner with their family!  Over all we had a great Easter and I WAY over did it on food and broke the diet.  Oh well, it was delicious!

Sharing is Caring

If that is true than Josie and Ella do not care to much about each other.  AT ALL!

What ever each one has, the other wants!  In some cases we have 2 of the same thing, but the one Ella has Josie wants.  It doesn't matter what it is these days.  *SIGH*  We have soo much more on this to come!

Jump

The mattress on the floor is the one we brought home from Ohio.  I knew the girls would like playing on it.....

So after watching Josie be "ever so graceful" on it, I recorded her!

And yes, I laughed when she fell!

The stick

This is "the stick" that grandma got the girls for Christmas.  Why?  To torture the parents of their granddaughters, that's why!
It actually goes to a xylophone she got them, but they hit everything else with that stick, including each other.

The TV, the doors, the walls, the appliances, the floor etc...

Herschleb Family

I was asked to take Herschleb pictures and these are some of the first pictures Jody has had since her hair has grown back.  Jody wanted some pictures of the boys too since they were turning 3 and 1.  However, I didn't get any real good ones of the boys individually so Jody may not ask me to take pictures again.

Karma

Karma is Joey's cousins little girl and she was the another one I took pictures of while in Ohio. The weather was rainy, cold and cloudy too.  She didn't seem to mind and actually played in the puddles.  She did great and just wanted to see the pictures on my camera after we took them!  I told her that when I was little I had to wait until the pictures were printed before I could see them...

Sophia and Donovan

While back in Ohio I planned to take these two VERY energetic kids pictures.  This ended up being my workout!  This was a challenge for me because kids this age don't cooperate or sit still for pictures. I was up for the challenge!  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate either.  It was cold and cloudy and wet, but we really didn't have time to reschedule so we went with it.  All we really needed were these cute kids anyway!  Here are few I got!

Spring Break

We went to Ohio over spring break this year and it was pretty laid back and relaxed.  We drove there after work on Friday and were able to stay the week.  I didn't get many pictures of us hanging out, however did get a couple photo shoots in.  Photos to come!
We celebrated my dad, brother and grandma's birthday while we there.  So our family had a little get together.  We also got in some family time with Joey's side of the family and the girls' got to play with some cousins!

playing at grandmas

We had to drive my car because Joey's car was out for repair.  I tried to pack  light, but that is really hard.  On the way back we were loaded with even more.  Long story, but a crib matress made it's way back to Iowa and the first two pictures is how the girls had to travel back because of the matress.  Then while in Chicago traffic we start smelling something odd and I look back Ella had thrown up all over herself (3rd pic).  She had to be in it for awhile until we got out of Chicago, then we stopped at a McD's to clean up and all we could get to was a turkey shirt and her pajama pants.  Despite the outfit, Ella was fine!

My friend and her little girl stopped by to visit and she had brought these accessories.  Josie LOVED them. She thought she was something else with these on.  Hope this isn't any indication of my future.....

And here is a video of Ella.  You will hear in the background where she gets this from!
