COVID continues 2020

Covid summer continues of more camping and boating.  Thank goodness we have both a camper and a boat because I would have lost my mind by now with not being able to do anything.  Iowa's number are going back up and it was question if we would even go to school.  Although the numbers of cases continue to rise the school district will offer 100% online or 100% in person learning with a mask.  My kids will be going to school in person and I will be returning to work.  This year is going to be interesting, tough, stressful and a bunch more for being a school nurse during a pandemic.

Our last camping trip we went to Mark Twain state park in Missouri.  We boated and had AMAZING weather.  At one point our pop up windows were all open becausee it was so mild out.  We had a great time expoloring a new area.  Josie, Eli and I did a hike and everytime we heard a noise in the woods, I would say it was big foot.  After we got back I showed Eli this picture of him where BIGFOOT photobombed the picture.  He had many many questions and couldn't get enough of this picture. Personally, I think I am HILARIOUS, Joey on the other hand is lame. :)
And look at my flowers I have going this year!  I have never had flowers that actually lived.  I do believe that actually watering the flowers has really helped.  That was on eof the chores the girls had to do this summer was water the flowers.  YAY!!  I am gonna brag about them cause it may not happen again.

On one of the weekends we actually didn't camp, we got our kayaks out and paddled down the skunk river.  This was a group.  No Eli cause he didn't have a boat and it would just be easier with out him.  We had a sitter for him.  It was a great trip and the water was low, so very goof for girls first time on a river.  Joey's back hurt after this trip though which meant a call for some steroids and muscle relaxers.  He may not be able to kayak anymore :(

Ella all smiles and having a blast
I had a birthday in there too.  I was able to celebrate with some friends as we went out for dinner and had some drinks.  I put makeup on for maybe the 5th time since march! This was my FIRST time eating out since covid pandemic.  Our server wore a mask and we were seated 6 feet away from the other tables.  I felt comfortable and didn't feel like we were a huge exposure risk.
The sunflowers are in bloom and took the photo-op.
Ella had her 3 month post-op check up and everything checked out A-OK!!  He said to keep doing stretches so that achillies tendon doesn't tighten back up and she will continue to gain strength as time goes on.  Of course, we had to our masks and only one family member could accompany her to her appointment, which meant Joey had to take a vacation day to stay with the other hoodlums at home.

I go back to work on Monday and the girls the following monday!  The longest spring break ever is coming to an end.  My clothes, scale and pantry will appriciate me going back to work and hopefully getting to work out again real soon!
